It is a practical, personal corner of the internet for real meals, real routines, real dogs and the bits of everyday life that are worth looking at twice.
Some days that means a recipe that works when time or energy is short. Some days it means trying to understand why a spaniel has made a baffling decision. Sometimes it is simply a photograph that catches the feeling of a moment before it disappears.
Useful first. Honest always. Beautiful when real life allows it.

Food that knows you have a life.
The cooking side of CCC is built around meals and baking that feel achievable. There is room for proper technique and good ingredients, but no need to pretend every dinner is served with three matching side dishes and a spotless kitchen.

02 — Dog life
Dexter, Tilly and the chaos beside us.
Dexter is thoughtful, observant and expressive. Tilly is a loving, cuddly, in-your-face black Cocker Spaniel who appears to regard personal space as an administrative error.
Together they keep CCC grounded in the real business of living with dogs: behaviour, training, enrichment, routines, relationships and the stories that happen when theory meets an actual spaniel.
This is experience-led writing in plain English, not a substitute for veterinary or qualified behavioural help where that is needed.
03 — Behind the lens
Pictures are part of the story.
The “Clicks” have not gone anywhere. Photography runs through CCC because it is part of how Gary notices and records the world.
Sometimes that means food photography. Sometimes it is Dexter and Tilly. Sometimes it is light, texture or one small visual detail that makes an ordinary day feel worth remembering.
The aim is not to bolt a photography lesson onto every article. It is to make the photographs earn their place alongside the words.

The person behind it
I’m Gary.
I cook, bake, photograph and spend a great deal of time trying to understand what Dexter and Tilly think they are doing. CCC brings those parts of life together without pretending that home is always tidy, dinner is always planned or the dogs are always sensible.
It is a personal publication from Funky Indie Collective, but it has its own job: to be useful, warm, well made and recognisably human.
