About CCC

A personal publication, not a content factory.

Cooking, Clicks & Canines is where Gary brings together practical food, honest life with Dexter and Tilly, and photography that notices the details ordinary days are made from.

The honest version

Built from real life.

What CCC is

Cooking, Clicks & Canines is my personal publication about three parts of ordinary life that naturally overlap: practical food, life with dogs, and photography that makes everyday details worth noticing.

It is not a studio, a newsroom or a polished lifestyle performance. I write and edit CCC around family life, caring responsibilities, meals that need to work in a real kitchen, and two spaniels who have never shown much respect for personal space.

Who is behind it

I’m Gary, and I am the named editorial voice responsible for what CCC publishes.

Chelle is my partner and part of the home and life behind the site. Dexter is the thoughtful, observant spaniel. Tilly is the black cocker spaniel whose approach to affection is best described as enthusiastic and extremely close range.

They belong in the story of CCC, but I do not present them as an invented editorial team.

How the work is handled

Useful content still needs honest labels.

Recipes marked Editorially reviewed have been checked for quantities, method, timings, yield, plausibility, food safety, allergens and storage. Personally tested is used only when I have actually made the recipe and recorded that evidence.

Dog stories based on life with Dexter and Tilly are experience-led. Breed guides are research-led and state their professional boundaries rather than pretending I have owned every breed or can replace a vet or qualified behaviour professional.

Photography is part of how I see the site. Where an image is my own photograph, that is treated honestly. Where stock or AI-assisted imagery is used, it is not passed off as a personal photograph.

AI may assist with research, organisation, drafting or checking, but I remain responsible for the final page, its claims and whether it deserves to be published.

Household, not a staff list

The life behind the site.

CCC is personal because these are the people and dogs whose routines, meals, photographs and everyday chaos shape it.

01

Gary

Writes, edits, cooks, photographs and takes responsibility for publication.

02

Chelle

Gary’s partner and part of the home, family life and lived context behind CCC.

03

Dexter

The thoughtful observer: expressive, watchful and rarely far from the story.

04

Tilly

A loving black cocker spaniel and an in-your-face bundle of affectionate chaos.

Three branches

One recognisable life.

The subjects are broad, but the standard is the same: useful, honest and personal enough to feel human.

Trust is part of the work

Labels should mean something.

Editorially reviewed does not pretend a recipe was personally cooked.

Personally tested is used only when the evidence exists.

AI assistance is disclosed rather than dressed up as lived experience.

Experience has boundaries and does not replace qualified professional advice.
