CCC is deliberately kept simple: a static publication, no visitor accounts, no contact form and no analytics at launch.

The operator

Who runs Cooking, Clicks & Canines.

Cooking, Clicks & Canines is a personal publication operated in the United Kingdom by Gary Burfield-Wallis.

Questions, data requests and privacy complaints can be sent to info@cookingclickscanines.co.uk .

Ordinary technical records

Data created when you visit the site.

The website itself does not ask visitors to create accounts, leave comments, upload files or submit forms.

Like most websites, the hosting and delivery infrastructure may create security and server logs. These can include an IP address, date and time, requested page, response status, browser or device information and a referring page.

CCC uses this information only where reasonably necessary to deliver the site, diagnose faults, protect it from misuse and maintain security. The lawful basis is the legitimate interest in running a safe and reliable publication.

The site is hosted through 20i. Its hosting and StackCDN delivery infrastructure may process these technical records as part of providing the service. CCC does not create a separate visitor analytics database.

When you choose to contact CCC

Email correspondence.

When you email CCC, the message normally contains your email address, name if supplied, message content and any information or attachments you choose to include.

This information is used to read, manage and respond to the enquiry. The usual lawful basis is the legitimate interest in dealing with correspondence. Where your message asks CCC to take steps before entering an agreement, that processing may instead be necessary for those steps. Information may also be retained where required by law or needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Email is handled by the email services used for the info@cookingclickscanines.co.uk account. Do not send sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary.

Launch position

Cookies, analytics and advertising.

The static CCC launch build does not deliberately set analytics, advertising or preference cookies. It does not include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, advertising pixels or behavioural tracking.

No cookie-consent banner is shown because CCC is not deliberately using non-essential cookies or similar storage technologies. Hosting infrastructure may still use a strictly necessary technical measure in limited security or delivery circumstances.

This notice and the consent approach will be reviewed before analytics, advertising, embedded services or newsletter technology is introduced.

Leaving CCC

External links and third-party content.

Articles may contain ordinary links to other websites, shops, social networks, sources or media services. Following one of those links takes you away from CCC, and the other organisation controls what happens there.

The rebuilt site does not automatically load social widgets, advertising widgets or third-party video frames. Preserved media that once used an embedded service is presented as an ordinary outbound link instead.

Personal information may be shared with service providers that are needed to operate hosting, content delivery and email, and with professional advisers or public authorities where disclosure is legally required. CCC does not sell visitor information.

Not forever by default

How long information is kept.

Routine hosting and security logs are subject to the operational retention and rotation arrangements of the hosting infrastructure. CCC does not keep a separate copy for audience profiling.

Email correspondence is kept for as long as reasonably needed to deal with the message and any follow-up. It may be retained longer where it records an agreement, financial matter, complaint, security issue or something needed for legal obligations or claims.

UK data protection

Your rights.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or to object to processing.

Send a request to info@cookingclickscanines.co.uk . Enough information may be requested to confirm your identity and locate the relevant records.

CCC does not use personal information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Questions or concerns

Privacy complaints.

Please contact CCC first so the concern can be investigated and, where possible, put right.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Current guidance and the complaint service are available on the ICO website .

This notice will be updated when the site's services or data handling change materially. The review date at the top will change when that happens.
